During a question-and-answer period at a conference, a woman asked, “What do you do when you don’t know what to do?” We had been discussing guidance and knowing the will of God. I thought for a moment then said, “Do what you know to do.” When you don’t know what to do, do what you know to do. Or in Isaiah’s words, keep walking. When the lights go out, our immediate reaction is to stop dead still. In some situations, that’s the right thing to do. During an all-night drive back home after a week-long
